Step 1
FIND THE ZIPPER: When worn under a dress
shirt,
identify and
unbutton the button that is over the BlackCoat-T zipper, usually 4
buttons down from the collar. If you wear a tie this button is hidden,
so you may be able to leave it undone.
Step 2
OPEN THE ZIPPER: Feel for the top of the
zipper and pull
down.
The zipper was chosen for it’s smooth operation with one hand.
Step 3
INSERT AN OBJECT: Slide object through
opening in dress
shirt
and through the zipper. The direction of entry will determine in which
side of the BlackCoat-T the object rests. We suggest you keep your
phone on the side opposite the hand you usually use to hold it to your
ear. The hiudden pockets are deep and set to the side to mask their
presence and keep your iPod, cell phone or PDA from moving about or
falling out even when you are most active.
Step 4
EXTRACT AN OBJECT: Using your left hand for
things on
the LHS
of the shirt (and right hand for things on the right hand side), reach
back and push the device along the radial curve of the channel,
capturing it with your other hand as it emerges from the zipper. After
a few practice extractions you should be able to get to your phone
before the 3rd ring. Our testing shows that this compares favorably to
all other places one might keep a cell phone (e.g. cargo pants), except
the gaudy and dangerous belt clip.
Step 5
Master your digital lifestyle. Be sure to
designate an
iPod
pocket and cell phone or PDA pocket. Then rehearse using these devices
when on-the-go. It's all about training.
